I went to Lakewood racquet club growing up and it was a fun time however my parents paid them 1000s of dollars and the training I received was subpar compared to the training given to the kids who went to Lexington high school. They cater to kids who go to Lexington high school and dont want to train their competition. If you are under 18 and don’t go to Lexington high school I recommend looking elsewhere for tennis lessons.

When I came the owner wasn’t welcoming, the courts were literally covered in almost a light brown from the dust and many of us slipped in our matches and almost hurt ourselves. Even if the tennis ball hits the tape you can’t hit it as it rolls. The bathrooms were not well kept either as there was no toilet paper in either bathroom or paper towels and we had to replenish them ourselves.. The nets are damaged and have holes in them as well and he has never once updated one thing since the last time I was there which was years ago. He has even outdoor courts which he considers “clay courts” which a

Every member of our family loves the Lakewood Racquet Club for one reason or another, whether it's the great tennis learning environment for kids, the adult tennis groups, or the pool. We're so glad to have such a great place close to home!
